‘Akpabio lost his manhood’ — Nigerians rain hateful comment on minority leader senator for resigning

Godswill Akpabio took to his social media handle to announce his exit as minority leader senator on Tuesday.

With the rumours making rounds on the internet concerning Akpabio defecting to APC from PDP, the news of his resignation did not go down well with some Nigerians.

One would think it was an honorary thing for him to do like one user commented;

This is a good move. Sen. @bukolasaraki should be bold enough to do the same. I believe this will give him a level of respect among Nigerians for being the first Senate president to resign on the premises of cross carpeting to another party.

But that did not live long as many others rained hateful comment on Akpabio for resigning.

While few Nigerians applauded Akpabio, others slammed the minority leader senator for resigning.

See some of the reactions below:

Dino melaye, ffk, olisa metu and Saraki were on several occasions harassed, arrested and imprisoned, yet they stood their ground, maintain their stands and remained loyal to their party but a simply letter from efcc and yet Akpabio lost his manhood, another commenter wrote.

N in that kinda of politics doesn’t have the interest of the masses at heart

8ight_Ball@RepsorpMD

Is that new? Lol. Naija politics entails personal interests ALWAYS comes first. Then sprinkle a bit of interest of the masses here and there. The bar has been set so low, that even the people will be satisfied. But even that one is unattainable, lol.
